Chain restaurant with 1,200 locations blames 'economic circumstances' as it follows Dennys & Red

A CHAIN restaurant closed another one of its locations within a state.

Firehouse Subs closed its store in Missoula, Montana, and followed several other fast-food stores that shuttered earlier this year.

This location closed in September and customers were made aware of the closure by a sign that was posted on the door, according to local NBC affiliate KTVM.

The sign said: “Due to economic issues this location is closed until further notice.

“We were very happy to serve the community while we could!"

This shutdown followed the closure of another Firehouse Subs in Kalispell, Montana, the week before.

Customers were also made aware of the abrupt closure through a sign posted on the restaurant's door, however, a reason was not given for the shutdown this time.

Missoula is not new to chain restaurants leaving the Garden City, as Denny’s and Red Robin closed just a few months before.

Denny’s suddenly closed its doors in January and employees were supposedly not given any warning, according to local CBS affiliate KPAX.

Red Robin shuttered in November 2022 temporarily due to “severe staff shortages," according to KPAX.

The location is currently not listed on Red Robin’s store location list.

Local Firehouse Subs customers took to Facebook to share their thoughts on the news.

One person said: “I was just at firehouse.”

Another customer said: “I loved fire house!”

A third person said: “noooooooo.”

Firehouse Subs has over 1,200 locations across over 800 cities in the US, according to ScrapeHero.

This comes as The U.S. Sun has previously reported on a string of other fast-food restaurants closing their stores in recent months.

Burger King announced it would shut down its location in Berea, Kentucky, for good.

Subway announced its store in Hampden, Maine, would close and customers were greeted with a sign on the window from management.

The sign said: "Patty and her staff are deeply saddened and sincerely thank you for your business."

The U.S. Sun has reached out to Firehouse Subs, Red Robin, and Denny's for comment.
